Yeah, I got hit too. I have plants down. I have frenching taking over my wrapper variety grow outs. My first patch is still sitting there with the lower leaves looking ripe before they've even begun budding. I'm so far behind on pulling grass I don't know that I could catch up all over even if I had enough dry days to try. Aphids in the first patch, I'll spray them today. Problems everywhere except the lower patch for grow outs, it's looking good. I'll do what I can, that's about all I can do. I've run out of cuss words. I know sign language and I've cussed till my fingers are raw. I may have to learn a new language just to have some fresh bad things to say.
If you find something new cussing wise let me know!. Home grown is a blast. You just got a hard knock , but your resilient. I'd say you have done pretty damn good. I bet at leasty you can smoke what you harvested. Yea buddy!

I gues we have all the sun here in Europe. It's about a month now with all that sun. I'm still on island caled Veli Lošinj and I need to water garden every second day. Temperatures about 35 Celsius. I take care of my mothers garden while she takes care of my tobacco back home.

My computer fals apart and it's out of order, so I can not upgrade my grow log. Also very bad wireless conection here, but I can read what's new on the forum. In a week I'll be back and connected than,...stay tuned.

No vacations for tobacco growers. I'm in pain every day, but I wish you all the best,...

Thanks spencer. My house is on top of the hill over looking the pond through the trees. The bull frogs sound nice at night.

The drowned first patch just keeps chugging along. I think the rain just sent them into a dormant state for awhile. When we get a few days without rain they grow a little. They never have hit a growth spurt they just keep slowly doing their thing at their own pace. Many of the VA's and Burley's are four feet tall now. I planted them April 26. Only one plant out of about 120 has budded. The rain greatly extended the Days to Maturity. That just went straight out the window. That crazy patch may end up making a crop yet. We had four clear days and then it rained again this morning. I got some grass pulled and sprayed some aphids. If no rain tomorrow, it's BT time again. (and more grass pulling, that stuff has gotten waaay ahead of me)

I'm OK, but in pain cause I miss my gardan. It's very hot here. Today and tomorow we expect 40 celsius. Water (Adriatic sea) is about 29 Celsius. Not good for fishing.

When are you going home? You've been on vacation long enough to have grown a crop of tobacco on that island. I think you're the secret King of Slovenia and you don't want to tell anybody.
