Below is our recomended curing schedule. To download and print please click the link below.

Hours	Dry Bulb	Advance Rate	Wet Bulb
0-24	90°-100°	1°/HR	95°
24-48	100°-105°	1°/HR	102°
48-72	105°-120°	1°/HR	105°
72...	120°-165°	1°/HR	105° Lower Stalk 108° Upper Stalk

• Do NOT leave 120° Dry Bulb until the tobacco is yellow
• If you use curing gas, do so during 24-48 hour period
• This schedule is tested and proven, some variation may occur depending on your tobacco
• To attain proper Wet Bulb reading change wicks every cure
• Proper Wet Bulb reading is critical to maximize fuel efficiency
• Periodically check Wet Bulb accuracy with a hygrometer

Big year in advancement of "curing technology" for home growers apparently. Lots of trial and error everywhere and trying to do more with less space and time. Did not realize these processes were not particularly widespread.

The only two members that flue cured last year were deluxestogie and leverhead. (that I'm aware of) The flue cure for home growers is new technology around here. I'm really enjoying the threads and the new info you guys are coming up with.

i read about building a kiln at seedman.com before i found out about this site. i did buy some seed from them and was not inpressed with it. newhope seed company had better seed that you got more of for less $. i wish i knew a little more about tobacco growing and wen't with the information and contacts listed here from the start. my insulated shed is basicly a kiln. i can control the heat and humidity pretty well for now but i am sure i can do better with all of the information and friendly help offered here. this is the best tobacco site i have found on the net.

exactly the same, a PDF I pulled from the net.
I'm not trying to duplicate these kind of charts etc. am using them for guide only.
If your cure settings vary from leaf to leaf, batch to batch, and harvest to harvest it stands to reason that it also applies to chambers.
Grab all the direction you can, adapt it, expect to fail and learn. When you have done enough you will just know what to do and cures
will come out great most every time.

Saturday is the targeted setup day for the freezer. It should go relatively smooth as there isn't anything wrong with the fans or the defrost heater. I'm going to start working on an auto advance thermostat based with a 230v defrost clock. It will be both mechanical and digital. $1600.00 is a little out of my reach for a t-stat of that caliber. You know when they don't give the price next to the item on the net, and you have to email for a quote that it's gonna hurt. The same programmable thermidistat for residential hvac use, with a max setting of 90*F and humidity control, installed, is $195.00. They think they're making them outa gold.

I have to finish a 5ton system change out today that I started yesterday at the golf pro shop. After that I have to try and get my freezer out of the box truck. That ain't going to be easy, as that stupid thing weighs in at about 600-700lbs. without the compressor. I may just try and slide it down the ramp. It had to be laid on it's side to get it in the back, so I think I'll hook the chain fall to it to stand it back up. Woo hoo new curing chamber with 4 times the space here I come!

My son and I got the new curing chamber installed yesterday and it has been maintaining 95* F-db. and 93* F-wb
