Advice on shredder please.

I have been looking at a manual shredder in ebay. Scissors are very slow and tedious to get a good shag. The one I have been looking at is 100 bucks and looks like a mini pasta maker. To get one of the good electric ones from the sponsor is unrealistic at the moment but that is what I am working towards. Have any of you guys used the small manual cutters? If so how have you found them?

ive went on you tube and seen some very creative HOME-MADE shredders,

you should research some of these garage, build's.

and see if you find one that you may be able to build,

but really the Powermatic shredder cant be beat.
I understand they are pricey, but in the long run, worth every penney.
