I have some good del gold leaf and i found in my search that del gold tobacco was made for flue curing...
Will it works with air curing? I also have viriginia leaf but they are way smaller than del gold
.
Thanks .

It will work in the sense that it will thoroughly cure. It will taste very different, though.

Air-curing varieties that are designated as "flue-cure" doesn't produce bad tobacco. No tobacco was flue-cured prior to the mid 1800s. But typical cigarettes today are expected to have the acidity and sweetness that comes from the flue-curing process. So, as CV said, it will taste different than it would if it had been flue-cured.

Judging from today's date, I imagine that the leaf (in Quebec) is no longer green. So sun-curing will likely have to wait until next year's crop.

Try to sun cure it, sun curing is the poor man’s flue cure. If air cured, it will be less sweet and less acidic, but still smokable and, sometimes, with an interesting flavor.

I wondered if anyone has tried Sun curing Bahia, if that would be recommendable?
