Don't bag the runt. I'm looking forward to seeing which brainiac identifies that problem though. Maybe offer a prize? The runty plant goes to the winner? That is really weird.

I had a few plants like that many moons ago when I was a comercial farmer. The clever guys said it was a virus, in Afrikaans a Kromnekvirus, tried to translate in on Google but nada, will try and do it myself, Krom = scew, nek = neck and the virus, if I translate it directly from Afrikaans its a scewneckvirus. My clever tobacco file says, it is tranfered mechanicly or by insects. It also says the symptoms are, point of the leaves are scew towards the ends. Sometimes there will be conscentric yellow rings on the leaves. Sometimes there will be brown/white stripes on one side of the stem of the plant. Plants will be stunted. Sorry for the English translation. I destroyed the plants in my land to prevent further infestation. I could be wrong, and it can be something completely different. If I was you I would destroy the plant just to be safe.

Pull a plant and compare the roots to this picture.

Also, I noticed the fence behind the plants. The wood might have been treated with a chemical that has leached into the soil and is causing damage to the root system.

Maybe I'll give it a go. .at least it wont have a headache. Lol..and definitely looks like it needs viagra.. it has reduced flow somewhere in one of its main veins for sure..hahaaa..
I'm not too worried about it living or dieing..its no great loss..just thought it might be interesting to know what is causing it..and maybe help prevent someone else having a worse case of it in future.

Never heard about the asprin!!! What I`ve heard about for Mosaic virus is milk, apparently that helps, spray the plant with milk. Never tried it.

I had a few plants do that after a neighbor sprayed some herbicide last year, on a row across the road from his property. I just went out and pulled the roots on a couple plants in the area that was affected and found no nematodes. Not all plants were affected . The plants were young when symptoms occured and All my research last year pointed to a light overspray of herbicide, showing the same symptoms in skinny elongated leaves and some very thick on the ends and weird leaf tips.
