Good price, but otherwise, I know nothing.

Can anyone tell if the blades are on the machine? I can't make them out in the pictures.
Congratulations on your purchase.
It's a good price, less than I paid for mine.
Now if someone would come up with a set of gears that would allow for a wider cut (for pipe tobacco), that would be great.
Seller says the blades are in good shape. I'll know more when the machine gets here. Thanks for posting the link Woodsroad.A couple of my cousins are growing tobacco this year, if either one of them needs to borrow a shredder I can lend out that bullet proof Tech One and not spend sleepless nights worrying about my precious Powermatic. Will also make a great display beside my "display only" copper still.
It's a neat machine. I have on in LN condition. Just wish that the cut was wider.
Is it possible to turn the blades over (end to end, not backwards) so the bevel of the blade is on the other side, widening the gap between the point on the bevel and the anvil of the machine?
Great idea. That beats the hell out of re-engineering the thing. Removing 2 blades should give a consistent shred that's 3 times as thick, while requiring the same amount of time and number of rotations per pound of leaf. Elegant.the blades cannot be turned over, If you want a wider cut remove 1 blade. It will average out to a coarser cut. remove 2 blades and it is coarser yet.
