In my spare time this past week I decided to make a 10 stick mould. I hate spending money on things that I think I can do and I thought, what the hey.
It is from a 4'x10" piece of maple I picked up from Menards and used a 3/4" auger bit then added carriage bolts and wing nuts. Anyone with general tools like a drill, saw and vice can make this. I do not have a drill press, so some of the holes got wonky (or maybe it was the Rolling Rock:p:p) I made it out to 6"x50 ring since I prefer toro. When I finally get my drill press or better yet a lathe I want to try making a rothchilde 5.5 x 54 as IMO they are about the perfect size for other smokes. Cost me about $25 in material.

To keep straighter and more centered, maybe cut "score lines" in each half with a circular saw, just 1/8" deep or so where each cigar will be. When the halves are clamped together for drilling, they would line up to create a "pilot hole" for the drill bit to follow, therefore straighter and more centered holes.

That's a good idea!

Bama was correct, I had a big enough piece left over to try again running it through the table saw to put score lines really helps keep the bit straight. Hope this helps any one else.
