I have a shed full of cigar wrapper and filler from my 2012 crop. I was wondering if there is a way to use a refridgerater crock kiln to bring into proper case for vapor proof bag storage by adjusting the temp settings.

Or any other method for bringing a substantial quantity into proper case without damaging wrappers for long term storage in vapor proof bags. Any info and help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to make room for this years cigar leaf . Thanks in advance.

The shed has one window that stays open 1/2 year round to allow hanging tobacco to come in and out of case. I want to replace with this years crop. This time of year humidity is down and temps are up so it is difficult to handle and store the way I want to.

A long time ago they used to sell humidifiers that put out a lot of steam and humidity. I used them on my children when they were sick to break up shit in their lungs, doctor recommended, but the ones now don't seem to produce much . The one I remember you turned it on and left in the room and a steady stream of hot steam filled the room.

Open the doors and window one evening when the wind is light and the humidity high (fog is best). Your leaf will be ready to handle in the morning.

If those conditions don't exist, dump a 5 gallon bucket of water on the floor and close all the doors and window. Your leaf will be ready to handle in the morning.

I'll wait for the conditions, you describe and go for it. Its some nice leaf that was grown and handled with care. Even a night with high humidity brings close to handle in my shed but not quite this time of year for central Texas. Opening the door and window all the way will help. Its pretty wind proof where its at.

Don, could you post a link to the vapor proof bags in the Fair Trade Tobacco store ? I know the link is in a couple of threads, but it's hard to find unless you know where to look.

Yeah that's the one. Products is a good category for it. I can't believe my dumb ass missed it there. :D Has the 9" x 22" replaced the old 1 lb. bags or should we specify the size?

Did the 9" x 22" bags replace the old 1 lb. bags or should we specify which one we want?
