Hello again. Looking for a good injector. I'm having a little trouble deciding between the manual and electric. Again, it goes back to speed and durability. Right now I am spending a lot of time shredding and injecting. Need to cut that way down. Does the Electric have a different injection method, or the same as the manual. They bothe look like they can be run pretty fast on youtube videos, but again, If the electric is faster, I might go that way. Have to consider electronics to break down though. Any experiences would help. Or alternatives. Thanks again.

I have never used the electric version so I cannot compare. I am happy with the manual version. The Top-O-Matic is a good machine but I prefer the Powermatic due to the little made in tray where you pile the tobacco before pushing it into the slot. The Top-O-Matic slot is in a flat area so more spills out onto the table. I like the direction that the handle pulls straight down so all you have the do is hold the machine straight down, while the sideways motion of the handle on the Top O Matic requires a slight twist to counter the direction that the handle turns. With proper moisture in your tobacco (nearly dry) there is very little force needed, I just prefer the well thought out idea of physics working for you. The main reason, and it seems you are leaning in that direction for the same reason, is that I support www.wholeleaftobacco.com at every opportunity.

Thats exactly why I've been looking at the powermatics. I have a cheap Top O Matic knock off, with only the slit the tobacco goes into on a flat surface, both the I and II have a small hopper at least, and the twisting motion does get to me after a while. Thanks for the info>

The Powermatic 2 works perfectly. Still on the learning curve of moisture, and how much pressure to put on the tobacco when loading, but it sure spits out nice cigarettes. Nice machine.
