What is Tombac (Tombeki)

Yayladag is a Turkish variety. I will be growing some this year.

I grew some last year. It's also a place name, I was wondering if it was another variety grown there.

Yayladağ (officially Yayladağı - name of the district of Hatay which is located on the border of Syria-Latakia) variety is generally used in pipe blends, especially in all Oriental pipe blends. Tombac is grown in same province in various locations. If I recall correctly, tombac also used to be grown in Central Anatolia (around Konya) in the past.
