I've decided to grow Little Dutch this spring. Started seeds on coffee filters today. I plan on growing a maximum of 40 plants.

I have sprouts in most of the cells. Target date for transplanting outdoors is mid-February.

We had a rare frost this morning. I don't know yet exactly how cold it got last night. The stumps are from my fall crop that I've neglected to clean up yet.
Sprouts at about 12 days from germination. All of them are Little Dutch from seeds I produced in 2023.

I would guess that you dropped into the mid-30s when the wind died down in the wee hours.

I set up my containers last week. I plan on transplanting the seedlings next weekend.

Transplanted my Little Dutch seedlings this morning, 5 weeks from germination. We had a few nights this past week that dipped below freezing, so my bushes and lawn are toast. Tonight, it's supposed to be a low of 40f, with a gradual warming trend over the next 2 weeks.

We had a heavy frost overnight; my truck had a solid sheet of ice on the windows and windshield this morning. It was about 60 degrees outside when I took these pictures. The forecast for last night called for a low of 40f, evidently it got a lot colder than that. Tomorrows high should be in the mid 70's, should be able to tell by then if they're going to make it or not.

I seen someone on Reddit asking if they’re a reputable vendor as they had messaged about an order but hadn’t heard back for a few days. I assured them there was no better vendor and that it will be better to wait if they can than look elsewhere. Hopefully all is well with him.

A possibility is that the hosting service for the website is being changed to a different one, which may take up to a week to straighten out.

I had troubles a month or so ago. I could only load plants I had recently viewed. When things panned out, I noticed a few bits of updated info. Since the problems stopped, I thought it was just some site updates & maintenance.

Isn't that a sad sight? I can still detect some green in the center of most of them, so I'll keep them watered for a few days longer and see what happens.

I think I'll just wait and start seeds in summer for a fall crop. Seeds started this late would ripen in the middle of the rainy season.
