This can't be a contest because it would just invite people to try to influence the results.

What is your prediction as to when the forum will hit 20,000 posts? (Hint) It took 13 months to get to 10,000.

Maybe I'll give the closest guess something if I believe they weren't trying to steer the numbers. Maybe the person with the most posts during the time between 10,000 and 20,000 will get something.

Who knows what I'll do?...not even I know yet.

Bob......I wish you wouldn't encourage volume-posting - there are way too many ridiculously superfluous remarks. Can you count only those posts that are substantive? I don't mind a little banter from time to time, but I think some of our members get a little too enthusiastic with non-informational remarks, which is not the true value of this forum.

I think it's going to be exactly 1 hour before the Maya calendar predicts the end of the world. (It really doesn't, but the date seems auspicious.) It will be the moment that FTT posts reach critical mass, the forum becomes sentient, and membership surpasses that of Facebook. Maybe.

Well, it's been a little less than 2 months since we hit 10,000 posts (on 6/15/12). At the moment, we have 14,528 posts! Pretty scary.

I'd give odds of 10-1 that my guess will be off by a long shot. At least a few months. There seem to be alot more active members now.

Technically, we hit the 20,000th post 378 posts ago, but that number reflects the total number of posts ever made...including those that have been deleted for one reason or another. Please keep in mind...posts are not only deleted for inappropriate content, but double posts (from clicking twice when you only need to click once), members deleting their own posts, and mods deleting posts.

At the time of this post being written, we are at 19, 980 posts. The 20K mark will be hit today and the winner with the closest prediction in Workhoarse_01 and BarG with this prophetic statement

If anyone hears from WorkHoarse, tell him to get in touch with me so I can tell him how to collect his band new 2013 Chevy Silverado.

I'm thinking about giving away beach house in the Outer Banks to the 30,000 post.

It must be NEAT to be crazy. I wouldn't know I'm only heavily disturbed.

How many members do we have now?

455, but 10 or 15 have been banned for spamming.

The one thing I do pride myself on with the stats is...they are real numbers. A lot of new forums pad their numbers especially with members. I think it's funny when I go to a forum and see 15,000 members and 24 threads. There's a way to pad the threads and post too, but I think a firm foundation has been established with the forum which will allow growth without being disruptive.
