The forecast is showing alot of clouds and rain for the next couple of weeks. I am going to forego the pools until the weather turns drier and the roots are more established. There was very little evaporation in the pool the past couple of days. The pools will be a must when the plants are bigger and the weather turns hot. Not so much now.

Thanks,

Unfortunately, I can't find any posts you refer to that deal with TDS and fertilization
Pull up search box top right. Type in "TDS meter" in the search box, type in "BigBonner" where it says member at the bottom of the big box. The search is sensitive to capital letters. BigBonner will pull up, bigbonner may not. I see three posts when I do that, with further discussion before and after, but the surrounding posts may not contain the exact words "TDS meter".

It's interesting how growing outdoors makes us more attuned to our weather, rather than just worrying about weather only during commute hours and weekends. We join a 10,000 year succession of agriculturalists, worrying and watching the sky.

I’ve been on the weather worry band wagon ever since I was 13 and got my first hive. That also stem from watching my father worry about the weeks weather when we were making hay for the dairy.
We get pretty in tune with it after a while but still rely on luck and grace, lol.

What the forecast low temperature never takes into account are all the microclimates (in woods, between structures, in a valley, etc.) where the temp is able to fall down to the predicted dewpoint, which may be many degrees colder than the predicted low temp for the general region.

I've been taking photos of my best looking plant each time (Same plant). I may at some point post the photos of that single plant like a time lapse progression of the growth in a single post after the plants are grown. Might be interesting. Reams 158 is usually a beautiful plant visually.

We have been getting brief showers for the past several mornings so I haven't needed to water and miracle grow would be a waste of time. The larger plants finally dried today and they are wilting during the heat of the day. They are putting roots down deeper and wider searching for moisture. The smaller ones should wilt down sometime tomorrow. The bigger root system will support larger stem and leaf. I will give the larger plants some miracle grow and a drink maybe tomorrow and the smaller ones the following day. (Or longer depending on how they look) The seedling tray wilted down yesterday and a drink revived them in about 20 minutes.

The stresses may also increase flavor and nicotine. I can't remember but my best season for strong cigarettes seemed to be my drought year.

A few minutes in the shade and they are standing tall and proud again, no water.
