I'm about to transplant my seedlings into 4" pots. Must thin them out too, at some point soon.

I started them all at the beginning of April, and I suppose they could be four to six inches tall by the 24th of May, when I plan on putting them into the dirt. My nextdoor neighbour has an unused garden plot in his back yard, that he's happy to have full of tobacco plants.

Fingers crossed

Hi Bot, looking at your picture I am thinking you may have a problem thinning them. They look a little crowded to me. Good luck with them anyway.

The thinning I did was to eliminate all but one of the surprising number of individual plants that sprouted up. I've been up to my eyeballs with with work lately, and had put off the task.

Also, because of the way it went for me this time, I figure I'll employ a different strategy next year, to sprout the seeds and populate the starter trays.
