California finally went all the way and decided to completely ban the sale of my menthols. Fine, I'll keep those taxes and get a pound from WLT for each two packs I won't be buying anymore and enjoy a higher quality of life! Feels like when they announced the end of support for Win7 and I took that last year to make my 3rd stab at Linux be the one that freed me from Microsoft. Now I host my site, cloud storage, and streaming servers for the cost of about 600mA of electricity from a $55 Raspberry Pi in the living room, and I'm like

Two false starts since 2016, enthusiastically jumping into the hobby each time but drifting away and letting the bags languish in the tubs. Pretty sure it's gonna stick (HEY-O!) this time through a)Bob's "Roll One; Smoke One" sans mold approach, b)developing a palate vocabulary with puros, and c) mastering a casing workflow once and for all. The glacial pace of the latter has been balanced by the focus of the formers.
You probably won't even remember most of these leaves, they're so old now it took me 3 days and I'm still slowly bringing the bags back from certain doom with a little spritz every day. The Nic was an eye-opener! When I got it in my very first order from LO trying to recreate a Crowned Heads Mason Dixon, it was unusable pure cat piss. Now it's fine, of course lol. Thanks to @waikikigun for setting me up with a bunch (HEY-O!) of primings to explore. Had no idea who you were then sir, your vids have been indispensable.
Anyway, I've evolved a bit and found my favorite vitola to be a petite corona by way of a box of Partagas shorts. Took me through the weekend to get back to this:
1 "Aged Nicaraguan seco" [extra-extra aged now lol] LO ca. Spring 2016
1 "Corojo ligero" WLT/@waikikigun ca. Summer 2016
1 "Dominican viso" Ibid.
"Ecuador shade wrapper" binder [so far into what I can gingerly get out of the stack, tragically damaged] Ibid.
"Honduras Habano wrapper" Ibid.
A puro of that viso was another eye-opener. Very different from the corojo viso I'd been getting back up to pace with before it was down to just the shards. Today I'll try just a half leaf of the ligero to 1.5 of the dom viso.
