Than you much!!!Welcome. Thank you for joining us.
I used to smoke Marlboro red. I currently use
45% flue cured Virginia
20% Burley
20% Maryland
5% dark air
10% oriental
Alot of guys just start with flue cure, burley, and oriental and then play around from there. I don't use flavorings. Once you try whole leaf, you won't go back and you won't worry about trying to duplicate a chemical laden, nasty flavored commercial cigarette. Whole leaf is way better. Mine is a pH balanced full flavor blend with plenty of layers to the flavor due to the different varieties.
For a light cigarette, use light tubes. To my knowledge the only difference is the holes at the filter/tube juncture to allow more air into the mixture after the smoke has passed the filter.
Yes I do live in KY, thank you for that info. You don't happen to be from Kentucky, do you? Knuck's blend is very good and a great suggestion, but you might also try just straight red virginia stuffed in a light tube: could be just the ticket. It all depends on taste. The budget manual shredders from WLT are good for cigs
