A picture of me and my oldest daughter standing beside some cherry tomatoes that were about 8 feet tall. That picture was taken in 1984, so that's about how long I've been using my container method. That's also when I was still skinny and had hair.
In the eighties, I was living in LaBelle, FL. About 5 miles east of there, there is a U.S. Corps of Engineers lock and dam on the Caloosahatchee River. That's where the snook were caught. Lake Okeechobee drains to the west through the river to Ft. Myers. Over the years, I've caught hundreds of snook from the walkway below the dam. There was a period of time when I could barely sleep when I knew they were releasing water. The snook congregate below the dam when the water is flowing and can be caught using lead head jigs and large plugs. Tarpon and jacks are also sometimes caught there.
