That is a very good report. The potassium is very high. I would get some 20-0-0, or even some 10-0-0. No manure or other compost in that dirt. The first # = Nitrogen (for the leaf) Second #= Phosphorus (for the root) third #= Potassium (for over all plant)
You will however have to add it more than once due to it's fade time. I'll take that dirt any day!

I went back down to the patch last night and took some dirt samples a little bit deeper 12 in. From about 10 diff. Spots. The first test I just went down about 6 inches due to I already tilled it twice. Once on the fall and 3 wks ago. I sent in a new sample today also requesting a nitrogen test, To give me a idea of what's left if any. After researching high K levels, I came up with two reasons. First not going deep enough for the sample and Second is very rocky soil which I have. I have more rocks than dirt. If I keep picking them I will have a big hole in the ground the size of a soccer field.

Thanks Knucks, I have one we call them York Rakes. They work OK but when tilled and driving over it the tractor shoves the rocks down again. You use two cinder blocks to hold her up like I do. It is actually easier to chain the kids together and make them pick.:D Yea like that is gonna happen.:(

I like your greenhouse. Is that an extension cord running on the ground to your greenhouse?
Yes it is, the heaters kept them nice and cozy last night. Checked them this morning and they were Happy.
I picked up 2 big lots greenhouses over the weekend due to all the cups will not fit in the one I already have. It lasted one day before the wind destroyed it. Laying on its side in pic.
Wind chill of 17 degree this morning. It's freaking Cold.

Lol go figure eh? I'm in peat pods this year and some sprouts are growing much faster than others. As long as they grow!

I Growing Shrooms now. I have a little furry mold hear and there nothing bad that I would worry about.
But to grow shrooms you need spores. No more miracle Gro for me unless I nuke it. Dang shrooms outgrowing the starts.

I grew just the same mushrooms this year. Spores can travel long distances. Enough sunlight and good air flow elminates fungal activities. Are your seedlings in your basement ?

Yes they are. I have been fighting mold problems all winter, I got that under control by using new soil. Now shrooms?

LMFAO! I didn't think that would have actually happened like that lol. I guess your mold is actually fungus. That's how mushrooms grow. The spores "germinate" which looks fluffy, then it develops a little heavier forming mycelium, a kind of ropey or spiderwebby looking mold. It won't make fruitboddies unless the mycelium is covered. Pinheads form from the mycelium and then a little light is needed to grow the actual mushroom. It's been awhile since I've read up on it but that's basically how mushrooms grow. At least the shrooms are easier to pick than it is to scrape the mold off lol.

Oh, don't worry bout me, I'm practically swimming in leaf over here. Gonna try a grow again this year just the same so that one day I might be good at it. Mycology (study of mushrooms) is pretty tricky. You'd have to watch your little mushies grow, observe the different stages of it's growth and more to determine what fungus it is. Even at that I wouldn't consume ANY wild mushroom without a gas chromatograph of the specimen in question. Sorry for making light of your trouble but I really do find it fascinating that you got them shrooms popping up :)

Oh, just a warning, if the mushroom matures it will release a lot more new spores from under the cap. Might not be too cool to have in the house. The cap will open and have to mature a bit longer for the spores to be viable so it's not a big threat but I thought I'd mention it just the same.
