caught sockeye or coho in the fraser fly fishing for pinks. odd years I come right after labour day even years its either just before thanksgiving or just after
We have Coho and Sockeye down here in the dead-sert. They are called land locks. The leftovers make good baccy dirt. The snag time are the same.

The land locked sockeye we have here are the kokanee. I haven't fished for those. we have fished the vedder for springs, coho, and steel head. We have fished the fraser for springs and sockeye. ahhh, the good ol' year of bar fishing for springs were awesome days. 25# to 35# slabs of meat.

Oh wow that sucks. And it's hard to argue anything with government or customs. It's like hit or miss with those guys. I'm not sure, but provences may have their own laws governing baccy too. How many pounds did you order, if I may ask?

Of all the fish I have pursued in fresh water, I don't know that any can match the Steel Head Trout in sport, fight, vigor, acrobatics, overall fight; one of my favorites for sure.
