The casings on WLT are excellent. You just add some water and spray it on the tobacco after shredding. They are professionally designed for the specific blends to enhance the flavor without overpowering it. You don't know it's there but the tobacco tastes better. I've tried it on the specific blends at Whole Leaf Tobacco and also on blends of my homegrown with good results. Basically if I like a blend of my homegrown I leave it alone, but if I'm not 100% happy with it I add casing and it puts it over the top.

​Ah ha ! is it possible to make your own casings ? is this a flavouring mixture of some kind ?

has any body tried glycerin ( nitro ) ... and or trinitrotoluene, as a flavour ? I recon it could could really explode onto the smoking scene

Yes you can make your own. Cocoa, vanilla, coriander, and licorice are good flavors for tobacco. But these professionally developed ones are a cut above. The cigarette companies have 100 years of experience with this.

A little goes a loooong way. I'd start with a small amount diluted in water if you're making your own. You can always add more later.

Casings are a funny game, you use too much and you have a tobacco salad, burn characteristics alter completely. Don't use enough and the room note changes but your taste buds stay the same. Always easier to make a very diluted solution and apply it multiple times. Kinda like car wax.

Waitaminnit - Did you try the casing without the tobacco? I guess it did bout blow your head off. lol That's funny. Yep, you'll fit right in around here.
