hello.
guys, can somebody know, why tobacco after 24 hours is not that dark as my first batch? its dark brown but not as dark chocolate. after 24 hours i add another 20 hours at 82celzius. no change
How long did you cook it for? Did you add anything to modify the pH? Both of those will have an impact on the final color, but if it tastes good I wouldn't worry about the color.
first i cook it cca 24 hours(82celzius). color was more darker but not like i was expecting from my last experience. after that i add sodium carbonate and cook it 20hours(82celzius). little bit more darker but again not as my last butch.
last batch was virginia and this one is burley original. do you guys think that ,this is the problem? different leafs ,different results?
thank you for answers.
It’s a result of the burley leaf , i dont realy know why but i think it’s the sugar content , not sure but that’s my homemade theory
Both cigarleaf’s and burley givs a bit more brown colour and the sugar content is low or not exist in those kind of leaf’s
its taste bad. sadly, half kilogram of snus is vasted. i think , i know where mistake is. i pressed snus to hard before pasterization in bowl. top was more darker , and rest was simply brown. s..t happends new batch on the go.
