Computer woes! $#$%% thing!

Hey people. I have had to aquire a cheap pc and so did. itd a old thing umm running on xp 2002. My issue is the bloody thing registers my logitech webcam as a mic but not as a camera...
Do any of you smart fullas know what i have to do apart from throwing through the wall and going back to pen and paper?

Try going to logitech website and downloading the drivers for your webcam manually. It sounds like the auto configuration thingy is not recognising the right doohicky.

To be fair the whole thing has been giving me gyp all day. and I havent been to any dodgy sites

Nah the guy said he cleaned it thoroughly and going by his feedback on the auction site, he was all good. I am thinking it might just not have the guts to do much i mean I am pretty ignorant when it comes to these things, Might have to save the pennies and get something better luckily i have my phone. Though its more about talking to my kids and family and stuff. Once i have downloaded the dohicky we will see

You can go to microsoft website and let the site scan your computer and it will pull up a list of recommended updates, patches and drivers for free. Download those.

Well thats 30 odd minutes i will never get back. Mate i got lost in the site...... only to find out its up to date? bugger it going to ring the cat tomorrow
