I finally have all my tobacco hanging on stocks in my attic. The duale that i was most excited about was a total bust. Just looking from stock to stock you can see the enormous difference in usable product from plant to plant and the duale looks threadbare.

Best performer was havana 503b, huge thick leaves and many of them, next was zimmer spanish, thick but didnt appear to put out as much leaf as the 503b. the sumatra looked nice, the ct shade was spindly and tall. the havana 142 and pa red were OK. in between the bad and the good, just OK in my climate.

and the one i was the most interested had leaves that once dry shrivelled up into almost nothing. shame. i wont grow duale again that's for sure. maybe just a garden full of the 503 and zimmer and leave it at that, but i cant find nicotine/nornicotine levels for either, i want something with huge leaves like that with high nic, low to zero nornic.

well, gonna go thru my seedstock and mail the grin packs for the stuff that didnt work to the seedbank in case anyone else wants to try it..

really wish i had done more 503 and zs. sigh. next year, hope you still have more of the really strong red tops bigbonner, that stuff is the best i have had yet.

I would say wait till you smoke the stuff before you make a decision as we all know.. size does NOT matter :D
The Duale is small and spindly but it might be the best smoke you've ever had.

I have plenty of the red tobacco left .

Do you have any pictures of the Havanna 503B and the zimmer ?

Try the Duale it might be better than you think or you may be disapointed .

This is my Zimmer Spanish:

The ruler is 48". The final topped height was about 4-1/2 feet, with 20 leaves.

So I took your advice and forgot about my tobacco in the attic for the whole season.

Coming back to my first grow I need to give myself credit for what turned out to be some exceptionally tasty leaf. I had a problem finding the suckers or something last year, hence the threadbare comments. The plants that the suckering was kept on bushed out, the ones let go were spindly. Its really good though. I dunno what my problem was last year! I have some CT shade leaf that I broke off the stalk in my pipe now and it is delicious.I think all my issues were from unprocessed leaf not being done yet. After a year its another story entirely.

To those starting out, unless you flue or kiln be prepared to wait at least a year, the difference is spectacular!

I've tried a few leaves that have been air-cured a few weeks - I can taste a little flavor 'green' and 'raw' - they are a bit rough to say the least.
