Hello everyone!
Yesterday I received a set of seeds I ordered on amazon with those 4 varieties of tobacco (see image).
I've placed those in 4 separated plastic containers with substrate and closed to keep humidity while spraying twice a day with water using a difusor. Hopefully I will grow 20 plants in PE grow boxes (30x30x90cm) that I will keep outside where's plenty of sun now. :)

The Aztec will probably sprout first, and grow the fastest.
The Sylvestris isn’t ornamental variety- not for smoking, i think.
The Virginia will make a nice light gold smoke, and the geudertheimer will make a good darker flavored tobacco.
Enjoy!

Edit: misting twice a day is probably not needed, if there is condensation on the humidity dome.

Good to know! In this case I'll only plant one or two sylvestris. I'm also thinking about buying havana variety and go for 30 plants since I'm a heavy smoker.
I've seen on youtube more than one guy pouring wood ashes on the tobacco soil and also sprinkling it on top while the seeds germinate. Should I do that?
Thanks for your comment!

No to the ashes- if you used commercial substrate, the Ph is probably fine.
Adding ashes will raise the Ph way too high.
Tobacco seeds are surface spread- no cover: they can’t really get through it.
Don’t bother.

The same company sells a Kentucky tobacco that is strong (nicotine), and full flavored.
I’m planting a lot of it this year.
I haven’t tried their cigar varieties.

Can I start transplanting to cups? What about the ones that just started showing the white part, can I transplant those?

I'll post photos soon. Meanwhile I have 30 decent size grow backs to fill. I would rather avoid spending more money on substrate. Will I be good if I just pick soil from a local forest?

Not the best idea- you will be gathering all the problems with the soil: pests and disease, which young tobacco plants will have a hard time dealing with.
Plus, you have no idea if it’s the right Ph, the soil structure could be too dense for tobacco roots to grow, and who knows what the nutrient levels are like….
I container grow, myself, and locally gathered soil has always been a complete failure.
