I'm growing Shirey too. I have high hopes for it. I'm wanting something to equal the Dark Air that Don sells. I'm using 10% Dark Air in my cigarette blend. It really adds a new flavor dimension with the Maryland.

Can anyone identify the origins of Shirey? I was always under the impression the name was bastardized for Shirazi...a Turkish/Oriental type. Shirey is in the seed bank because it was donated as such.

I've heard of dark fired burley. I imagine it is very high nicoteen.
