im starting in a neutral soil that i know has never, been fertilized before,,, so in the off season, ive tilled the area, up. and give it a good toss, of high nitrogen [ 3 different blends ],,,, mid potash, [ 2 different blends ],,, and high phosphate, content,,,

and many trace elements, i had it special blended, base on fertilizer that was ordered for a major tobaccoo grower in my area,,,

i delivered this to his farm. and used the content's for this virgin ground,,,

it's n-p-k- is as follows, and '' trace elements'' percentages..

nitrogen 13 %........[9.73 % ammoniacel ntrogen......3.27 % nitrate nitrogen]

phosphate 11%

..potash 19%

magnesium 1.5 %

maganaese 1.05

zinc .15%

copper .24%

boron . 11 %

we will see how this goes,,,

money couldnt buy any better fertilizer, than what i have acess to...

and ive started to retrieve 5 gallon buckets of local bat guano in my area,,

soon i'll be updating the fertilizer, ... after i pull my collards, and brocollii out of the '' plot '' and get it all fresh tilled,

but i have high hopes of some fat heavy leaves this year from proper fertilization,

we will see,

Good luck with the fertilizer. I finally got some old sawdust and cow manure mixed with hay turned into my plot this off season. I have some horse manure lined up to get from across the road, some of it three years old in one pile and some newer stuff in another pile. I'm going to haul until he gets tired of loading me with his loader. I got rained out a couple of times, but I'm going to get that stuff moved soon. I want to get a load of it turned in also. I'm going to start a huge compost pile of horse manure, cow manure, hay, leaves, food stuff, red wiggler worms, fish out of the pond, etc. Bama's going to come get a load of the horse once I get it moved over here. The Bama boys will be ready for Freddie this year.

I turned up new ground that was fescue and bermuda grass with some clover mixed in. It had a good bit of clay so I'm working on getting the soil loosened up and some good natural nutrients mixed in. I've held off on getting a load of sand, I'll wait and see how the soil compacts after some rains before I decide on sand. I've been fertilizing the grass every year so I don't know if I'll need any mineral fertilizers right off or not. I'll give the manure time to get worked into the soil and get a soil test right before planting for a baseline. You are the fertilizer king. (aside from being full of it lol) I'll holler at you for some recommendations when I get the soil test done.
