Had no intentions to use a mold, but stumbled onto this on Ebay and fell in love.

That's beautiful. The joinery between the top and bottom is very interesting. I love the old stuff. Please don't try to "restore" it, it's perfect.

Thats very similar to the one i have without the metal clasp, also bought on ebay from germany.
Be very careful with them around central heating, mines started to pop the inserts from the main body. They will need re glueing as i believe they used animal glue.

Looks nice! I bought one off of e-bay a couple of months ago to hang on my wall (conversation piece). I did buy a new one (49 ring) also to use for production.

Can I ask what u pay for one of those??also those torpedo rolls are pretty hard to roll right
Winning bid was $46.

This mold appears to roll perfectos, which are probably even harder to roll than torpedos. On the other hand, the couple batches I have rolled I have struggled to get as firm in the foot and head as I do in the middle. Hey, I wish it was a simple robusto shape, but then, it wouldn't look so darn cool either.

I am stoked to get my hands on it.
