Hi Everyone, I’m a US expat, who along with my wife, have lived in Belize for the past 12 years. We are both retired and have dual citizenship (US and Belize). I’m a pipe smoker. There are no B&M tobacco stores in Belize, and because of recent and proposed changes by the USFDA, the cost of importing pipe tobacco of any quality may soon become prohibitively expensive, I’ve become interested in growing and curing my own tobacco. That’s why I’m here.

Welcome to the forum. Growing tobacco in Belize should be a fun project. Order reliable seed from Northwood Seeds, and decide your growing season. The varieties of tobacco for pipe depend a lot on what kind of pipe tobacco you like to smoke.

Growing your own is a real pleasure.
Just keep in mind that it requires time to get some good leaves to play with (tobacco is better when old). WLT has some very good tobacco if you want to blend soon.
