Greetings from Sweden!

First year growing and this forum has been a great resource. Thanks!
Only grew 10 plants this year out of curiosity as I found an old pack of virginia seeds when cleaning out the house. I´ve "towelcured" the leaves and am exited to see how they taste in my cobs after som ageing. Next year I´ll definitely grow more and also try growing other varieties. My goal is to be able to make decent pipe blends since the supply of different blends is extremely limited here in Sweden.

Welcome! Lots of great minds here to help with questions! Make sure to take pics and perhaps startup a grow log. Excited to see your progress and input!

Welcome to the forum. Click on the Wiki link, and look at the Tobacco Jargon section. For pipe blending, selecting one variety of seed from several different market classes (Virginia, Burley, Maryland, Dark Air-Cured, Oriental, etc.) will provide you with a huge choice of pipe blending ingredients, since you can use each of them as straight air-cured, cooked into Cavendish and also made into Perique. Blends can be pressed into plug (and sliced), or into press cake and crumble cake. Pressing itself alters the blend.

Ah, thanks for the info Will look into this and figure out what seeds to get! I’ve pressed some leaves in a pollenpress which is going to be interesting to compare with the other. Have heard that this also speeds up the ageing process (?)
