My name is Micah, and I am from the California Bay Area.

I only just found this forum yesterday, but it sure does have lots of great information.
My parents have been into cigars for several years, and over the last 6 months I have come to enjoy them immensely as well.
I have not rolled any of my own, but am planning on placing an order for leaves soon. I think my plan is to order all criollo 98 filler (of the 3 varieties) because I have seen some well liked blends on this site using just that one strain. This way, if I decide to grow my own plants, I can just grown that one type and order wrappers/binders as needed. Also, getting used to the one type will make a good base to start with, so I can hopefully note later substitutions I make.
Anyways, I am rambling. Thanks for the great info, and I look forward to sharing my progress.

welcome! i'm fairly new to this too, In my limited experience i'd suggest a blend kit to start or a couple secos, a ligaro, dominican binder and a shade wrap. i've found that too much one one variety may lead to a plainer one dimensional flavour profile. Witha few variety you can make changes to strength, spice, smoothness...etc.
check out members blends and what did you smoke today threads.

Thanks guys! I placed an order last night. Looks like there weren't many wrappers in stock. I will definitely snap a couple photos when I get something smokeable.
