I would avoid planting near the canopy of trees, as well as near large bushes. While shade from them can be a problem, root intrusion is usually a more troublesome problem, stunting growth of tobacco, which is shallow-rooted.

With so many varieties, you will need to keep good records, and label everything clearly.

[AlexKMW]

I am writing a grade, the date of breaking the sheet, tier. This is already the third year. There were 37 varieties that year).
The rest is to build a camera for Virginia.
I think to put such a heater with a fan. https://www.mvideo.ru/products/teploventilyator-maxwell-mw-3455-bk-20039823/specification
Here is a humidifier https://www.mvideo.ru/products/vozduhouvlazhnitel-marta-mt-2688-20063421/specification

[deluxestogie]

I assume that "camera" in this instance carries the meaning of "chamber". Best of luck with that. It makes a huge difference.

Спасибо Боб. Я думаю, что все получится. Я хочу получить качественный табак, которым могу наслаждаться
Мне нужно купить удобрения - калий, магний, азот, фосфор, минералы.

Thanks Bob. I think it will work out. I want to get quality tobacco that I can enjoy
I need to buy fertilizers - potassium, magnesium, nitrogen, phosphorus, minerals.

I haven't written for a long time. Started planting tobacco on may 3. To date, I have planted 16 rows. In a row from 40 to 60 plants. Managed to get caught in the hail, slowly recovering. Started drip irrigation. It remains to plant about 300 plants. We still need to figure out how to attach photos.

Thanks for your update. Below and to the left of where you type in the reply box you will see a box that says “Attach files” with a symbol of a paper clip. Click that, and then Click photo library and you will be able to view the photos in your library stored on your device (computer, phone, etc.). If you get stuck, perhaps we can help you further, just ask a question. Hope to see those photos soon, you have interesting varieties and a large patch. Best of luck.

[AlexKMW]

Thanks, I figured it out. Photos may 30. The left 7 rows were hit by hail. Growing slowly.

[deluxestogie]

That looks generally excellent. Hail-damaged plants that still have an uninjured growth tip should recover.

Great job and you seem to have your bases covered with the drip lines. Just keep in mind that tobacco plants don’t like wet feet and overwatering can be a problem. Mine have survived fairly extreme drought with little effect and no irrigation. Find that nice balance but dont overwater. Thank you for the photos and keep us updated if you don’t mind.

Thank you for advice. Drip irrigation made for watering with warm water. The previous years, I poured cold water from the well. I use drip irrigation to make fertilizers. I have a barrel of 500 liters, under each Bush pours half a liter of water.I hope there will be no waterlogging. 4 years ago, I watered very often, the tobacco turned out to be empty ((the first experience on the new earth was not very good. I will be glad to advice. I will try to write regularly about changes.

Big patch ! They are looking good.
Your plants look pretty close together in each row, how far are they from each other ?

30 centimeters. Between the rows of 80 centimeters.

[AlexKMW]

They are now. They don't grow well in places. The year was very bad, there was still hail and rain. Now the weather is recovering. Yesterday I broke a leaf battered by hail. Today or tomorrow, I will treat the leaf with potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, nitrogen, and fungal diseases.

Does look like it. I grew mine too close one year and ended up crawling around between the rows to havest the leaf.
Cheers

I'll crawl too, it's okay. The first time very densely planted, 30x50 centimeters, constantly crawled.
