Have Havana dunkelrot (type of criollo) seeds

Very shortly I will have one flowering plant's worth of a variety I bought from a German online supplier that they call Havana dunkelrot (dark red) and they say is a type of criollo. I grew 96 plants this year and allowed one to run to seed.
It's a middling height plant, the one I let flower is now a bit taller than me including about 30cms of flower height but the topped plants are all about 1.7m high. Give pretty decent size leaves and I got about 20 from each plant. The ones I grew under shade cloth have produced exceptionally fine, pliable wrapper leaves that have needed extreme care while handling. As long as I can ferment them without causing any damage I think they will make beautiful wrappers.
I would like to trade this seed for either Habano 2000 or piloto Cubano or corojo or vuelta abaho or any other traditional Cuban cigar variety. Any takers?

What a damn shame!!! And I'm only 25mins north of Perugia! And, coincidentally I'm a Canadian citizen too. It's nice of you to suggest it but my globetrotting days are behind me now so I doubt I'll be in Toronto again, my tobacco plants and vineyards need me here all the time

I am not sure what are Italy's regulations are like regarding shipping seeds, but perhaps Northwood Seeds can be an option?

Let me tell you, if you follow the rules, bringing in seeds from the US is slow and very expensive. Each different seed variety needs to be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate. The site I was looking at charges an understandably hefty $125 for compliance with that regulation. And even then you are by no means home free. I ordered several pounds of leaf from the US, in fact from WLT, it was dispatched May 11th and I still don't have it. Yesterday evening I spent nearly two hours dealing with paperwork to allow it to pass through customs and when it comes, despite the EU not taxing raw leaf, I'll be paying around $45 in tariffs and admin charges. In short, getting seeds here and complying with the regs is not a realistic option.

Btw Bohdan.Zaremba those fields you saw are all virginia, unless you were in the upper Tiber valley area on the boarder between Tuscany and Umbria where you often see kentucky being cultivated for Toscanello cheroots but either way I don't grow tobacco on that kind of scale!
