Im new to growing and this is my first season. I have started with Virginia Gold, Burley and Black Mammoth. I appreciate the help and wealth of knowledge I have already gotten from you guys and I will continue to soak up as much as possible to try to make this first try successful. Thanks

What are you doing for tobacco in the meantime? The owner of this forum also owns www.wholeleaftobacco.com. If you are smoking commercial tobacco you could go ahead and make the switch to whole leaf and start saving money now and sample and taste and get an idea of what you may consider keepers for blending and growing your own. Also, how do you take your tobacco, cigarettes, pipe, cigars, chew?

I'm a snus guy and due to the rediculous price increase here in Ga I'm going to give it go and try to make my own. I have had to resort to buying it retail but I might go ahead and order some leaf to start with while I wait for my plants to be cut. any variety suggestions would be appreciated. As of now I have only been exposed to American snus which I know will effect my choice of flavor and variety.
