Tobacco pipe smoking is pretty rare in Australia due to decades of anti smoking ads everywhere and increasing taxes, casings and toppings all banned.

I am the a 4th generation pipe smoker and used to smoke Cherry Cavendish with my dad while it wasn't the greatest tobacco ever made it is really nostalgic and time spent with dad.

This was until all aromatics are now banned so we are now on the hunt for a replacement but at $110 for 30grams it kind of difficult when you buy a blend that he doesn't like.

So I have joined this forum to learn, research and follow this great craft.

Not sure if you like holidays abroad and whatnot, but its a great idea for bringing back tobacco products within the legal limit of course. Here in the UK cigar prices are becoming really hefty plus inflation every year. Taxes just seem to hit tobacco very very differently. So now as a way round it when a family member or friend goes abroad they bring back a box or 2 for me. Sounds silly but its worth paying almost half price for them.
