Hey everyone I've been reading this forum for a while and finally decided to take a dive into whole leaf tobacco. I got my first shipment last week and so far it's been an amazing experience!
I've smoked commerical blends in a pipe and rolling my own cigarettes for about 4 years now - I haven't tried blending pipe stuff yet as I'm more focused on blending a nice cigarette mix for my tastes. I rolled alot of stokkebye Norwegian but I've always liked old camels so I'm really enjoying the Turkish tobaccos in the sampler. I gotta say that the lemon VA is pretty damn good on its own and reminds me of Export A green.
Next order I'm looking at a cigar kit and experimenting with some Dominican leaf to get something like Gitanes or Gauloises. There's so many possibilities now and I enjoy the whole process of making my own smokeable tobaccos that are far better than any store bought cigs I've had. I'm inspired by branded cigs but I am pretty happy with what I discover on my own when tasting the pure leaf without mystery additives and chems.
Also, I want to say thanks to the wholeleaftobacco team for an amazing product and service. I had my reservations with all the complications that could occur during shipping and customs but eveything went thru fine and was packed nicely so I could get started with ease.
