Hey all, i have smoked tobacco since a young age but quit cigarettes a few years ago when my wife was pregnant with our second child. i still enjoy a nice cigarillo like backwoods or the Al capone rum dipped. when i was 16 or 17 i started experimenting with different pipe tobaccos and really enjoyed them so i have found myself back in the pipe tobacco realm. I am a connoisseur (kind of) of many things, i make beer, wine, cider and have dabbled with a bit of very very very small batch distilling. (water of course! anything else is illegal here! 
) so i figured i would have a go at growing and blending my own tobacco! i just placed an order for some seeds as well as some whole leafs to play with. seeds i got were VA brighleaf, VA gold and Burley. whole leaves are 1lb low grade virginas. which sounded interesting. i am not too worried about how they look and it is already a blend so that should be fun, 1/4lb Burley and 1/4lb Latakia oriental. should be nice little start to making my own pipe tobacco! Hope to learn a lot and have fun with my new hobby!
