Howdy fellow tobacco enthusiasts and warm greetings from northern baltics!
I'm Marko from Estonia and I just found that it is time to try my hand on the art of growing and preparing of tobacco. I'm 33 years of age and during my stay in this excistence I have obtained a PhD in electrochmistry and tried many hobbies and mostly been successful at them. I have been an avid enthusiast of quality tobacco for more than 10 years and many wonderful memories are bound to this delightful plant. It strikes me as odd that I have not until this moment considered to grow my own...even though I have rolled my own for years, made custom pipes out of apple and cherry wood and blended many commercial mixtures. But this spring I corrected my shortcomings and planted the seeds of virginia, basma, bolivia, samsoun and burley tobaccos. I do have a house and garden with several greenhouses so I think that the plants will come along just nicely. I also have skills in machining and electronics with a more or less decent workshop, so making the kilns and curing chambers will not be a major task. Although finding the free time for it may be
Anyways...I hope this is the beginning of a wonderful journey to new learnings and experiences that I hope to share with the fellow enthusiasts here. I hope that I can find much wisdom here to help me along the way and contribute some of my own with the community as I gain it.
