Hello all, Colin (@cbay) from mid-Michigan. I've smoked pipes and cigars on and off for 15 years, currently my tobaccos consumption pendulum is swinging back towards pipes and I've become interested in better understanding nuances around flavors and blends.

In the short term, getting a pasta press to do some experiments. Might get a few ounces of the main types of blending tobaccos next order I make, but I'm trying to figure out processing, storage, and casing/flavoring with the goal of ordering whole leaf tobacco to make some plugs/flakes in the future.

Not currently planning growing, perique-ing, or Cavendish-ing, but we'll see where things take us.

Welcome!

Make sure to get Bob’s pipe tobacco blending books- definitely worth the time.

Welcome, This forum's sponsor, Whole Leaf Tobacco, offers a sample pack of pipe tobaccos. Its worth getting to experiment with.
I had scanned around the site a little, but I will look into that. Sounds perfect.
