Hi all, glad to be here! I am interested in growing tobacco for the first time this year in my garden. After reading about the history of Cuban tobaccos, I requested the two Criollo seed accessions from the USDA to grow out this year. I'm hoping to start breeding a landrace of Cuban genetics that can thrive in my area (SE Pennsylvania). Been really enjoying reading through lots of old threads and learning from everyone's experience. Thanks for having me!

Welcome I am kind of a tobacco snob. I buy my leaf as I am not in a position to grow in a small apartment. However one thing to consider is tobacco has inherent properties. So I want genuine tobacco in reference to certain varieties. Its kind of like coca-cola ain't nothing like the real thing .
