I started smoking ryo because store bought costs are unreal. My husband grows ours,he has his own "baccer room"just for curing,as well as keeping our cig supplies(our boxes, tubes).I've read a few posts on here and I may as well learn all I can about this, since I smoke nearly as much as he does!

Hey. Welcome to the forum. There is more info here than you can shake a badger on a stick at.

FTT is bringing in the women lately. Nothing wrong with that of course, but if you don't count oldsouth it was completely male until 1-2 weeks ago. I welcome the change though (Though I better mention that)

Welcome, Mshomesmoke. We really need you on this forum. Since you are located a lot closer to Boboro than we are, maybe you can fill in as interpreter for him...sometimes we could use clarification on what he posts!

I've been mislead my whole life! I thought the Brit's didn't have a sense of humor.

Welcome! Some women around should make us clean up our act.

I always thought the British were considered quite good humoured. I've just had a quick search on the internet and lo and behold on an international belief we are humourless. I'm truly shocked. Has everyone forgotten Monty Python?? lol

It was probably a British website and they were humouring you by saying the Brits are humourless.

Good mornin',guys. Thanks for the nice welcome. All of you seem like a pretty good bunch of guys. And as for the GYO,I'm already smoking that. It's quite different than the store bought poison I was used to.I quit smoking for 3 years. Then our grandson moved in with us back in June and I was back puffing away.@Rayshields,I believe I can translate very well for Boboro.Well, sometimes I can.Sometimes even I don't know what he's saying. If that be the case, then I'll just post a"?".I am actually familiar with all of you, having looked at all your pics and read lots of your posts.Ya'll might have heard me referred to as Mrs.Boboro.;)

It's just that our (Brit) humor is as dry as low case tobacco. John Clease is one of my all time favorites. If you want broader remember Benny Hill. -- John

I've always though the Brits were at the top of the world when it comes to a sense of humor. The Germans, on the other hand, are a whole different story!

it would be nice if my woman was intrested in my grow,

and would assist me in the process, of getting the bacca from the field, to the final shreded state,

so i say, it's nice to hear you are assisting your husband in the bacca growing process,

welcome, and perhaps, we can share some knowledge with you, in next years grow,

we get better each time,

next year will be my 3'rd grow, and i plan on knocking it out of the park,

and i look forward to seeing you and your husband doing the same,

I met/saw John Clease once. He pulled into a garage I was working at when I was 16, but sadly didn't get the nerve to ask for an autograph.
Benny Hill is something that must travel well as he is generally disliked in England. I know Mr. Bean is liked in a fair few countries, but again not that popular here. Germans love him though which I find a little unnerving lol.
I've always felt that some of the great English comedy comes from the national love of eccentricity. Not to mention politics, but if you need an example of this you only need to Google "major of London Boris Johnson" He is by far the most popular Tory politician in the UK today and he's very eccentric.
If I were to pick a comedy I personally think is a good representative of British humour it would either be "Only Fools and Horses" or "Red Dwarf" - We are pretty self deprecating.

Sorry to go completely off topic. It is nice to have women turning up here. As I said early it has been a complete sausage fest since oldsouth got banned. Sadly my missus doesn't smoke and hates my hobby. I showed her a cigar I rolled yesterday (My first proper cigar) and she said "Why would you wanna smoke that?? It's wonky and looks like a cock"

Here's a pic of the cigar and please note it's complete lack of resemblance to a penis
