To dampen my wrapper should I use distilled water like I use in my humidor or is tap water OK?

Distilled water is the safest, but my palate can't taste the difference between tap water and distilled. If you can smell any off notes in your tap water, use distilled.

The reason for using distilled water in a humidor is to prevent the moisture source from eventually becoming caked with minerals that accumulate as the water evaporates. I use distilled water to mist cigar leaf, not because of how it affects the leaf, but to prevent minerals from clogging my $1 spray bottle.

Now, if you have funky tap water, then distilled is a good idea.

Plain water, but this water is exceptional, if you have stinky well water I'd obviously choose bottled.
