Hello to everyone. I have been in the retail tobacco biz for 13 years and I am finally growing my own crop at my farm in Texas. I own CigarNews.com, a site designed for cigar enthusiasts around the world. Looking forward to learning and meeting some global friends.

Welcome to FTT Jeff. You're in the right place. I started trying to roll my own cigars two years ago and am finally getting a smokeable product. The folks here know a lot about tobacco, all phases. Your experience as a cigar expert should be of use to many of us.

Somebody told me this spring Texas wasn't known as tobacco country. I'm glad they didn't have a clue. Welcome, you've got the right place.

Texas, in the right places is perfect. Sandy rich soil, no frost, hot and sunny 360 days a year. I have been to the DR and Honduras many times. Very similar climates.
