I having tons of scraps from rolling cigars was curious if there’s any way to to turn that into pipe tobacco and also need as much info as possible as far as the process and what not
I would start with a Missouri Meershaum corn cob pipe and some pipe cleaners to get you started with a low investment. When I first got into the pipe I thought I would need every pipe gadget known to mankind before the pipe even got here or I knew what I was even doing or what the gadgets were for. That stuff is mouldering in a drawer somewhere. A spent cartridge casing makes a good pipe tamp. A zip lock sandwich bag is hard to beat for a tobacco pouch. Start with the basics, a pipe and pipe cleaners.

turn that into pipe tobacco
You can, of course, just shred the cigar scraps (roll them into a wad, and slice into coins with a chaveta), and stuff it into a pipe. That will give you a cigar tobacco aroma and taste--and a stinky pipe. You can cook the scraps into Cavendish (see Index of Key Forum Threads), which alters the aroma and pH quite a bit--and gives you a less stinky pipe. Using cigar variety tobacco in pipe blends usually works out best alongside some bright or Oriental leaf.

If you are intending to purchase some pipe blending leaf from WLT, then look through the thread on pure tobacco blends. Many blends utilize various cigar varieties.

Another use for short cigar scraps is to roll some short filler cigars. (Done well, they can be just as wonderful as long filler cigars.)
