I'm getting my raised beds ready for my first crop. According to my meter, the soil is only weakly acidic... About 6.5. I read somewhere that tobacco likes 5.8. how do I safely lower the pH?

Should I even bother trying to lower the pH, or is 6.5 acceptable?
