Hi everyone. I've been reading the forum for a spell, figured I'd join in.

I'm a second generation subsistence farmer in the Canadian province of British Columbia. I've been growing tobacco for the past 3 years as I'm an avid smoker who hates to pay the excessive taxes levied by our goverment on vice products.

I've also just put in an order with don to buy some whole leaf to broaden the breadth of my experiential knowledge of different tobacco.

This coming year I plan to grow 11 new strains

Ahus - swedish cigar

Harrow velvet - burley

Conniticut broadleaf

Kentucky fire cured burley

Brizillian cigar heirloom

Nostrano del brenta

Costello Virginia

Black sea Samson "canik"

Black mammoth burley

Sumatra

Cuban criollo

Any of you have experience with these strains? I'd love any and all information

Welcome to FTT. www.northwoodseeds.com has good descriptions of various strains, or you can buy the excellent book “tobacco plant varieties for the home growers” or, simply, ask here. Or you can use the “search” function of the forum and type in Nostrano del Brent, for example, all the discussions in which those words appear will pop right up. What do you plan to use your tobacco for?

Thanks for the welcome, I'll try to put together a growlog.

Wished I did get my seeds from northwoods. I was in the dark about their massive selection when I made my order.

I use my tobacco in a number of smoking applications. One of my aims is to make some sticks, when I do I'll be sure to post them. I do roll small cigarette style cigars (not sure the correct term)
