rapid growing trees give off the most oxygen. Oxygen is a by product of photosynthesis, the carbon is consumed from carbon dioxide and oxygen is given off.
A giant redwood gives off the most oxygen because it puts on more weight per year. Soft wood trees (pine) are rapid growing trees. The usual trees put in plantations are red pine a rapid growing tree.
Aspen is a hard wood tree but it has rapid growth.

the clear winner would be the tobacco tree. If it were a tree.

No not a volunteer! I dont get paid too much all in all, For me it is a part time job.
