It looks like this will pass this year. I think it will move a lot of shops offshore. Who will enforce it. What is hid in the bill to gain control of the net. I think its the goal of the feds.

All of those small shops will be out of business. When you have four employees and two of them just do paperwork and you still have to worry about the various governments coming after you for some reason or the other...The big corps want no competition and the state and feds want more tax revenue..

No the small Internet businesses won't be affected. The law as written exempts businesses with less than a million dollars in annual revenue.

Yeah but that's just for openers. If they can get this to go then they'll start to squeeze the smaller and smaller guys too. They won't hurt the big guys and big buiss will love it as the little guys get pinched. So what else is new?

That's usually the way it goes, they'll only put it in a little bit and they promise not to.... you know how it goes. It's only to provide servicing.

I see how Amazon is already offering to do the paperwork for the smaller businesses. Of course they will charge for the service.

Wrote my senator. Got a reply. Says the bill will "level the playing field" for B&Ms.Good thing he wasn't there to level the playing field for buggy whips.

We have no sales tax here in DullAware. Yes, we do have roads, bridges, schools, and police. We just do not need a sales tax to fund them.

Is there a chance some larger companys will go off shore and import there products into the US? theres a similar thing here were amazon and large companys such as play.com set themselfs up in jersey which is a part of the UK but just off the shores of France were its VAT exempt so they can undercut b&m stores by 20%.
