Isn't it poisonous to add a casing to your tobacco?

Hello guys, want to start to grow tobacco in Switzerland and first of all i want to find out what i need for it and how it works.
So i read a lot of Articles about casings and I couldn't find a answer to my Question, so i wanted to ask here: Isn't it poisonous to add a casing to your tobacco and if yes, is it really needed to have a nice smoke-tobacco? Also im glad for other tips and tricks to add casings

Welcome to FTT. Smoking (and the use of tobacco in general) is not an healthy habit. Of course, growing your own allows you to avoid the use of pesticides and/or insecticides and provides a more “natural” approach to the use of tobacco. If for your casings you will avoid the use of chemicals (but use for example coffee, honey, licorice extract and so on) I can’t honestly see any added danger. My two cents.
