Latakia Flaked Tobacco

[stdly]

I see that the Latakia on WLT site is now called Latakia Flaked Tobacco and not Latakia Fire Cured Oriental.
Anyone know If there is a difference.

Earlier batches were nearly whole leaves (though I had to bring some into medium case, just to demonstrate that). These, of course, required shredding for use in pipe blending, and shredded at the case of the leaf as shipped. From the photo of the "Flaked" batch, it appears to be more fragmented. I have no inside knowledge about this. Latakia is generally pretty crumbly stuff regardless, so this should make little difference. I have not sampled this new batch, so I cannot comment about its aroma.

Thank a lot Bob!
It looks good just smaller leaf parts I will be cutting it up for pipe smoking anyway.
I was a little worried customs might think it is processed tobacco but in the vacuum pack it will look the same.
