Out to the Home Despot this morning, scoring treated lumber to rebuild my work bench en route to cutting open the last bit of my drowned garage wall to air it out after the minor flood. Dropped by a friend to borrow a trenching shovel to dig a french drain so hopefully it won't happen again. Share breakfast. Back I return home, innocent as a adventist girl scout, set to unloading my lumber, when here comes the mail man, and BAM, unloads this gift of succulent goodness from our brother DeluxeStogie:

Now isn't that a pretty sight to start off your Saturday morning?

I'm going to spark up one of these 1830 Santa Claras right now while I work. I must say, the cellophane has kept rather clear for 180+ years since 1830.

sit back and enjoy that cigar with two fingers of your favorite stuff. work before and or after. flood waters suck and mold is worse.

It wasn't until I read this post that I noticed my error. I had said I would be sending some Te Amo cigars. I don't have any Te Amo cigars. Haven't had any for a long time. Although Santa Clara is made by the same company, my brain lapsed into a torpor. I selected some Te Amo cigars from the Te Amo box, bundled them up, mailed them off and...they're not...they weren't...they never will be. Sigh.

I'm smoking one of those Santa Clara 1830 Diamond Series cigars as I write this. Solid as a maple dowel. Distinctly dark and musty aromas, with an undertone of fire-curing. Pure Mexican all the way. San Andrés leaf.
